Founded in 1891, we are a property management company based in Lisbon. Our apartments have been completely refurbished and are located in a historic building that is almost 300 years old. This building, owned by our centenary family business, traditional Portuguese 4th generation family based in Lisbon (Bronzes de Arte Raul Martins Ltd.) who in the late 1800s started their business creating works of art made particularly in Bronze. These apartments stand in the same place where fantastic works of art where crafted using old-work skills, adopting the art of melting, sculpting and chiseling to produce all kind of ornamental exquisite works of art that still today decorate a lot of Palaces in Portugal. Those exquisite and wonderful metallic works of art such as: lamps, wall lamps, lampshades, light fixtures, chandeliers, taps, door handles made of bronze, brass and other types of metals. This company had clients all over the world and its works can be seen in many Palaces all over the city of Lisbon. In Portugal you can appreciate its work in the gates of the Bank of Portugal, near Rossio square, in all the ornamental metallic parts of “Marques de Pombal Roundabout” (the most important roundabout in the city of Lisbon) or the fine chandeliers of the Presidential Palace in Belém among others. Overseas it had important clients like the Rockefeller Foundation and Sherle Wagner International. After 2008 crisis this family company changed the approach to their business and prepared the renewal and renovation of the building allowing to perpetuate a company business circa 1891, changing their business to vacation rental accommodation. This strategy allowed us to create cozy and high quality apartments, with all the necessary amenities for a very pleasant stay in the city of Lisbon. These apartments are located in Bairro Alto, next to São Bento, in one of the most traditional typical neighborhoods in the center of Lisbon. You will be able to enjoy the traditional atmosphere of a historical neighbourhood that is everyday being modernised and gaining a rejuvenated vitality. The location is excellent, in a calm street but very close from the agitated vibrant life of Bairro Alto, Chiado, Bica, Cais do Sodré, the Tagus riverside and other great attractions. There are several restaurants, cafes and markets, some old, others renewed, that create a very interesting mix between the traditional concept and the modern concept of a great european capital. Just one block down the street you will find the tram Stop for Tram 28, the most famous Tram in the city of Lisbon, which goes up and down the city hills, from Estrela to Martim Moniz, passing by São Bento (the parliament), Chiado, Sé (the mother church), São Jorge Castle and Graça. Besides all that there is to see and do during the day, the night life is also a "must" in this area of the city. 500 metres away you will find Bairro Alto, where there is a great diversity of bars and nightlife for every kind of taste. Each of the apartments has been selected due to its unique characteristics such as an excellent location in the city centre.
